Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod - Early Summer Food Photography, Styling and Story Telling Workshop

March 1, 2016 Meg

Mid May in New England brings longer days and slightly warmer nights. We start looking for blooming flowers along the road sides and breaking in that new pair of sandals. The farmers markets begin and the boats are being launched in the harbor. Its time to put away the heavy coats and pack up the skis. The beach roses are blooming and the fish markets are bustling once again. Summer is just around the corner.

Betty of Le Jus d'Orange and I are so excited to announce our second Table Sharing workshop. We are spending four nights in a renovated 19th century beach house in the colorful town of Oak Bluffs on the island of Martha's Vineyard off of Cape Cod. We will be exploring the island learning about photography, light, and how to create a food story. We will be visiting an oyster farm, learning about the sea farming process and how to properly shuck an oyster. We are planning many al fresco meals, a picnic on the beach and a chowder tasting. We are going to soak up the early summer sun and enjoy what it means to be vacationing on the Vineyard.

Tamworth, New Hampshire - Autumn Food Photography and Styling Workshop

July 8, 2015 Meg

This event has already happened - but you can read all about it on Betty's blog here!

Summer is in full swing here in New England, but our heads and hearts are already focused on our favorite season - fall. Join Betty and Meg for a long weekend in Tamworth, a sleepy little town nestled in the Lakes and White Mountain region of New Hampshire. The roads are quiet and winding, rolling through the mountains and along the running rivers. Giant pine trees tower over head while the hushed footsteps of a doe linger in the meadows. It is a magical place, with beauty and wonder at every corner.

Our lodging is a beautiful farm house built in the 1840's. There are wood burning fire places in the kitchen and living room, a long pine table perfect for large shared meals, a patio with a fire pit that is surrounded by gardens, and a restored barn just begging to have its photo taken. In what used to be a working farm, we will use the beauty of the natural surroundings to bring in to our photos and our styling, harnessing the essence of the season in our creativity with cooking, photography and styling.
